Recommended products if you have soft, thin nails

Soft, thin nails need to be protected and strengthened, ideally by applying a nail strengthener under your nail polish. It is also essential to use products that won’t dry out your nails. If your hands are in contact with water a lot, your nails can easily become both soft and porous. We recommended using the following products:

/ START

Choose a gentle nail polish remover that is free from acetone
If you clean your nails with products that are too strong and contain acetone, for example, your nails will dry out. Depend’s environmentally adapted nail polish remover is mild and gentle, as well as free from acetone, oil and perfume. Available as a 75 ml dip-in and 100 ml and 250 ml bottles. Your nails may feel a little oily after removing polish, so rinse your hands and nails well with lukewarm water once all polish has been removed.
NB – do not use on artificial nails!

Step 2

Exfoliate and rehydrate your nails and cuticles
This may be a product for the smallest part of your body, but it has a big impact. Exfoliating is an easy way to completely transform your nails in just 1 minute! A cuticle peeling product combined with nail oil is the best remedy, giving you strong, flexible nails. This kit includes both these products.

Exfoliate your nails once a week before applying nail polish and use the nail oil every day. The oil can be applied on top of your polish. You can watch our Kickstart film here in Depend Academy.

Step 3

Strengthen nails with a nail strengthener
Protects and strengthens soft, thin nails immediately! Apply one or two thin coats and touch up with a new coat every three days. No need to remove before applying more and can also be used as a base coat when applying nail polish.

Step 4

Don’t forget the top coat
If you do use nail strengthener as a base coat, don’t forget to apply a top coat too! A top coat also helps to protect thin nails. Our Top Coat Trio of shimmer, silky matte finish and quick-drying polish covers all the bases when you want to seal and protect your favourite polish.
